I am really happy to be a stay at home mom. I waited a long time to be at a place where my husband and I felt we could afford it. Truth is, I now realize it is so important to me to spend this time with my kids that I would do almost anything to be able to afford it! There are days when I remember what it was like to just leave work behind, but I don't think that would change even if I was working. What I do imagine I would feel if I was working is that I was really missing out on the everyday things, and all those little everyday things are really, really important to me and (I think) to my kids.
