» melissac64 - SAHM & Content YOU BET!

Hi Belinda-

I love your spirit and honesty! The truth is I've spent the last several days spending time with my kids, without any distractions and I have to agree with everything you have said. Us SAHM's need to stop feeling like our lives may be lacking something if we are not immersed in a career- what about being immersed in our children and being immersed in helping shape them into productive and well- adjusted human beings and members of society? I agree- I never lack for things to do at home- and I really do like the fact that as a SAHM I get to be there for my children. Meaning that I get to experience their daily routines with them, instead of seeing them before they go to school in the morning and then for a bit before they go to bed. After these few days of being with them, and not thinking about any work-related activities, it gave me the opportunity to relax and reflect on how much I enjoyed spending time with them. You're right- we need to stoop apologizing and start being proud of our SAHM status. I love hearing from Moms like you, because your passion makes me realize the dormant passion I possess as well.
Keep posting your thoughts!

Melissa
